In a perfect world where I had more space I'd get another larger console (D&R maybe) and something like an SSL Alpha Link. I've got it all laced up to a series of patchbays. It does it's job and I use it everyday with no problems. The MIDI while useful, I could ditch it and have either more channels or groups. So I could run more effects post fader (reverb, delay). I wish the Auxes were switchable from pre to post on Aux 1-2 (although you can mod it to be post). 99.9999% hardware based, tracked into Ableton, then returned back to the R16 and mixed live. I produce Techno (mostly), the music that you're talking about actually. The issues I know about are driver issues with "new" OS releases. EQ: better than a mackie imo, but its no Neve (obviously). I had an onyx 1640i and I absolutely HATED the EQ If I go analog it'll be either the r16 or f16.
